Is It Possible for Someone to Have PKD but Absolutely No Symptoms

    2015-07-03 07:41| Font Size A A A

Is It Possible for Someone to Have PKD but Absolutely No SymptomsPKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) is a hereditary disease and hence a family disease. It affects both kidneys although one may affected earlier than the other and more than the other. Over time, the cyst grow and increase in number, gardually squeezing the normal tissues until the kidneys lose their ability to function. Well then, is it possible for someone to have PKD but absolutely no symptoms?

Actually, it is a quite common kidney disease, in which cysts (fluid filled sacs) are formed in the kidneys. ‘Poly cystic’ therefore means ‘many cysts’. Actually, there are no symptoms in early stage. Because in the early stage, the sizes of cysts on the kidney are small and do not can oppress the surrounding tissues and cells. Therefore, in the beginning, no symptoms or discomforts will occur. However, in adulthood, as the kidneys grow larger, so does the waistline. Some people are unaware that they have the disease until they seek relief for their swollen and sometimes tender abdomens.

Through the above analysis, you can see that along with the progression of illness condition, patients will still suffer from some symptoms. More common complains that may lead to a diagnosis of PKD, include high blood pressure, blood in urine, pain in back or side, swelling and so on.

In order to prevent the condition, what treatment can we take?

As a matter of fact, many doctors in western countries will suggest patients to wait if their cyst is small in size. And no treatment is needed. However, along with the time and progression of illness condition, patients will suffer a lot. Therefore, aside from waiting, we do recommend the following things for your reference.

    1. Develop a healthy and balanced diet plan

    2. Live a healthy and active lifestyles

    3. Take effective treatments like Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, Medicated Bath, Hot Compress Therapy and so on.
