    Lupus Signs of Kidney FailureLupus or systemic lupus erythemotosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease that occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks its own tissues. It can affect almost any part of your body, most often your joints, skin, kidneys, heart, lungs, blood or brain. Well then, what is the signs of kidney failure due to lupus?

    It is reported that one-third of lupus patients will develop kidney involvement, or Lupus Nephritis. The kidneys are especially vulnerable for people with lupus. Varying degrees of inflammation caused by the disease can result in lupus nephritis and even Kidney Failure.

    If you are suffering from following symptoms (one or more), you should pay high attention to your kidneys and take care of yourself.

    1. Swelling, especially in the extremities (feet, ankles, legs, fingers, arms, eyelid). It is also called edema.
