    Antinuclear antibody:

    The sensitivity of antinuclear antibody test is more than 90% while the specificity is relatively low, which shows as positive results with mixed connective tissue disease, rheumatoid arthritis and sjogren's syndrome. This test can be regarded as reference index rather than the measure only to diagnose Lupus Nephritis.

    Anti-double strand DNA antibody:

    It is one of the labeled antibody to diagnose SLE, which is closely related to lupus activity with 72% sensitivity. It behaves as positive result occasionally with sjogren's syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis and active hepatitis.

    Anti-SM antibody and anti-RNP antibody:

    Positive anti-SM antibody appears to 25%~40% patients with Lupus Nephritis while 26%~45% of patients behaves as anti-RNP antibody. While anti-SM antibody has extremely high specificity to diagnose SLE.
