    Your Disease Will Develop Into Kidney Failure Within 5 Years

    2017-03-22 05:59| Font Size A A A

    Your Disease Will Develop Into Kidney Failure Within 5 YearsWhat? Kidney disease will be kidney failure within just 5 years? Is this true?

    Yes, it is true. If you suffer from kidney disease but do not take proper treatment, your disease will be kidney failure within 5 years.

    How to count for kidney disease developing to renal failure?

    Stage 1

    In this stage, kidneys are damaged and gfr is normal or increased. The gfr level in this stage is >=90ml/min/1.73m2.

    Stage 2

    In this stage, kidneys are damaged and there is slight decline of GFR. GFR level is 60-89ml/min/1.73m2.

    Stage 3

    In this stage, there is moderate decline of GFR and the level of GFR is 30-59ml/min/1.73m2.

    When kidney disease progresses to kidney failure, it is measured by GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate), which is a typical measurement of kidney function. The gfr level in a healthy person is 80-120ml/min. When you suffer from renal disease, your kidney function will decline gradually and GFR will also decline as well.

    Generally speaking, if GFR is larger than 90/min, it indicates your kidney function is declining now. If gfr is less than 60ml/min, it indicates mild-to-moderate chronic renal failure.

    It is different of GFR decline in patients with different kidney disease. For example:

    Diabetic nephropathy: GFR decline is 0-12.6ml/min/year ;

    Membranous Nephropathy: GFR decline is 3.2ml/min/year;

    Chronic Nephritis:4.6-9.5ml/min/year;

    Hypertensive Nephropathy: GFR decline is 2-10.4ml/min/year.

    From the above data, we can see the gfr decline in chronic nephritis and hypertensive kidney damage is very obvious. Thus, chronic nephritis should be taken seriously and hypertension in kidney disease should be managed tightly.

    For example, there is a patient with severe chronic nephritis and his GFR is 100ml/min when his renal function is normal. If he does not take any treatment, his gfr decline rate is 9ml/min/year. Then it takes only 4 years for his condition to develop into kidney failure.

    Of course, it is different from patient to patient. It mainly depends on treatment you take.

    In order to prevent kidney failure, you have to take a systematic therapy which combines Chinese medicines and western medicines. Chinese medicines can excrete toxins and western medicines can inhibit the symptoms. Chinese medicines and western medicines combine together to repair injured kidney tissues and recover renal function.

    How many years can kidney disease develop into kidney failure and how long you can live with kidney disease depends on treatment you take. If you want to know effective treatment, you can leave a message below or consult our online doctor directly.
