    Causes of Body Jerking in Kidney Failure
    Most kidney failure patients are prone to experience body jerking in their daily life. You may confused about how body jerking occurs in this kidney disease? Now, let’s have a look at this passage.

    The over view of kidney failure

    Kidney failure indicates there is something wrong with your kidneys. As we all know, healthy kidneys are in charge of removing waste products such as extra water, creatinine, urea nitrogen and so on. They are also responsible for the metabolic balance of electrolyte and acid-base. Besides, they can help to purify blood, regulate blood pressure and activate vitamin D. However, for kidney failure patients, their damaged kidney lose these abilities as they once did. So there is a series of disorders will occur and lead to body jerking. The specific reasons of jerking are as follows:

    1.Low calcium and high phosphorus

    Due to kidney damage, kidney can not remove extra phosphorus out of the body. As a consequence, high phosphorus level (hyperkalemia) will occur. And high phosphorus level will induce low calcium level. A large loss of calcium can cause body jerking also called cramps.

    2.Lack of vitamin D

    As we all know, vitamin D plays an important role in strengthening our bone. For kidney failure patients, their kidney fail to activate vitamin D and they are often lacking of vitamin D. In such condition, patients are likely to induce symptoms like muscle cramps.

    3.Poor blood circulation

    Due to kidney damage, it can make a bad influence in the blood circulation which can contribute to leading to jerking.
