    How to Find Whether You Kidneys Have ProblemsKidney is very important filtering organ which play a significant role in our body. Since our kidney has a strong compensatory ability, many patients do not know whether their kidney are damaged unless their half of renal function has lost. then, how to find whether your kidneys have problems?

    Some tests can help you assess how well your kidneys are working. Here we will introduce the tests in following content.

    Blood routine test and urine routine test

    Regular blood routine and urine can help you judge whether your kidneys function is normal to some extent. If there is something wrong in these test, your doctor will suggest you do further test, so as to make a correct diagnosis.

    Glomerular filtration rate (GFR)

    It is estimated from results of a blood-based creatinine test. It is an indicator of how well your kidneys are working to remove wastes and toxins from your blood GFR is calculated using the serum creatinine and other factors such as age and gender. In the early stages of kidney disease GFR may be normal. A GFR number of less than 60 is low and may mean that you have kidney disease. Check with your doctor about having the GFR test. If you are at increased risk for kidney disease (have diabetes, high blood pressure, or family history of diabetes, high blood pressure or kidney failure), you should find out if you have kidney disease. They should be done at least once a year so that if you have early kidney disease, it can be treated right away. Early kidney disease can and should be treated to keep it from getting worsen!

    High blood pressure and/or diabetes

    Massive proteinuria and /or hematuria (blood in urine)
