What Symptoms Can Appear with GFR 19GFR refers to how much fluid has been filtrated out by kidneys, while for patients with chronic kidney disease, their kidney function will be damagd gradually by their disease, which will cause patients to have low GFR. Healthy people’s GFR level can reach 120ml/min, so GFR 19 means patient’s kidney function is damaged severely.

Kidney is an important organ, which is incharge of our body’s internal metabolic balances, like the balances of electrolytes, fluid and acid-base, etc. When patient’s kidney function is severely damaged, it is normal that many health problems will appear, which can cause many obvious symptoms. Well then, if patients only have remaining GFR level of 19ml/min, what symptoms can appear at this point?

    1. Fatigue:

Kidney can secrete hemopoietin, which is very important in the formation of red cells. When kidney is damaged severely, the quantity of red cells will be reduced, which can cause patients to have anemia, and that will cause patients to have fatigue.

    2. Hypertension:

Hypertension is a common complication of CKD, and it will damage patient’s kidney damage obviously if it has not been well controlled.

    3. Urine changes:

Kidney is in charge of producing urine, so when patient’s GFR is 19, many chages can appear in urine, like foamy urine, abnormal urine color, less urine, etc.

    4. Swelling:

Low kidney function will cause patients to have the accumulation of fluid in patient’s body, and much fluid in body can cause patients to have edema, which can cause swelling.

    5. Nausea and vomoting:

Kidney damage can cause many health problems, and many factors can cause patients to have nausea and vomiting, like gastrointestinal edema, high urea level, etc.

    6. Itchging:

When patient’s kidney function is very low, patients will have problems like high urea, the metabolic disoder of phosphorus and calcium, etc. These factors can lead to ithcing skin.

    7. Muscle cramp:

Muscle cramp is a common problem, which is mainly caused by the metabolic disorder of electrolytes in patient’s body. So, when patients only have GFR 19, these factors can occur and cause patients to have muscle cramp.

    8. Bone pain:

Long-term shortage of calcium can cause patients to have renal osteopathy, which can cause patients to have bone pain. Besides, low GFR can cause patients to have high uric acid, and high uric acid can lead to gout, which is a major cause of hoint pain.

Besides, patients with GFR can also have symptoms like headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, etc. As we know, it is important for patients to take measures actively to imporve their condition, and if you have any trouble in dealing with your condition, you can leave us a message about your details and problem.
