How Can I Decrease Proteinuria and Elevated BUN Level

How Can I Decrease Proteinuria and Elevated BUN Level The presence of Proteinuria and High BUN Level are usually indicative of kidney problems. Our kidneys are endowed with numerous function to keep our whole body health. When there is something wrong with our kidneys, you will suffer a lot. When you have protein in urine and high BUN level, how to decrease them?

How do the two symptoms occur?

Proteinuria refers to the presence of abnormal amounts of protein in urine. Under normal circumstance, proteins present in blood are retained by the kidneys, as these are essential for the healthy functioning of the human body. Proteins are usually too big to pass through the glomerulus, which refers to a tubular structure that filters blood to form urine. If glomeruli get damaged, the proteins from the blood could leak into the urine, thereby leading to proteinuria.

High Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN) measures the amount of urea nitrogen, a waste product of protein metabolism. Urea is formed by the liver and carried by the blood to the kidneys for excretion. urea enter blood stream, and then healthy kidneys are responsible for eliminating these waste products from the body. However, when kidney can’t do its work normally, urea level in the blood increases spontaneously.

Actually, treating the underlying kidney problem would help reduce the condition. Then, how?

Reduce the protein intake-the more protein kidney disease patients eat, the higher the BUN level, so avoiding high protein foods like beans and bean products is very essential. But they can eat some high-quality protein. Besides, it is important to drink a right amount of water according to specific illness condition. And cope with stress and control high blood pressure or diabetes are also necessary.

Chinese herbal medicines-herbal medicines are associated with lower elevated blood urea nitrogen levels, including nettles, chamomile, cinnamon, siberuan ginseng, dandelion root, salvia, etc. But you do not allowed to take these medication unless getting the doctor’s permission.

In addition, we should take timely and effective treatment to repair kidney damage and restore the kidney function. Examples of these remedies are Immunotherapy and Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy.
