Creatinine 3.92 and BUN 41: What Are Some of the Symptoms

Creatinine 3.92 and BUN 41: What Are Some of the SymptomsBoth creatinine and BUN are indicator to reflect kidney functions for CKD patients. Persistently high creatinine levels and high blood urea levels are most possibly caused by kidney problems. Living with 3.92 creatinine and BUN 41, what are some of the symptoms?

As the mentioned above, they can measure how well your kidneys are working. Now. Let’s have a look at the creatinine. It is a waste product of muscle metabolism which normally can be discharged by the healthy kidneys. Levels of creatinine can be affected by age, sex, race, diet, muscle mass, some medications, and chronic disease. The normal range of creatinine in blood serum is 0.5-1.1mg/dl for females and 0.6-1.2mg/dl for males. as for BUN, it is short for blood urea nitrogen which is end product of protein. Usually, the much more protein we ingest, the much more urea nitrogen are produced. Similar with creatinine, excess urea nitrogen can be discharged by the kidneys and it is kept in the range 8-20mmol/L. However, when kidney function is impaired, excess urea nitrogen will build up in the blood and lead to high BUN level.

As for creatinine 3.92 and BUN 41, they are much higher than the normal range. Symptoms associated with high creatinine and high BUN level are most often caused by an underlying illness that affects kidney function. The most frequent cause is kidney disease itself. Symptoms of kidney disease can include the following contents.

    1. Nausea and vomiting

When excessive urea nitrogen can not be discharged timely, they will build up in the body and stimulate digestive tract, and thus cause nausea or vomiting. In serious cases, patients may vomit blood.

    2. Itchy skin

The accumulation of wastes can stimulate skin and sebaceous gland, and thus cause atrophy of sweat gland, which can cause dry skin and itchy skin.

    3. Foamy urine

Foamy urine is the clinical manifestation of proteinuria. When kidneys are injured, protein will leak into urine, resulting foamy urine.

    4. Other symptoms
high blood pressure, fatigue, poor appetite, bad taste in mouth, insomnia, poor memory, poor concentration, shortness of breath, deep and long breath and coma and so on.
