What Causes Intractable Hiccup for CKD Patients

What Causes Intractable Hiccup for CKD PatientsCKD patients are prone to suffer from various symptoms along with the progression of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), like high blood pressure, swelling, proteinuria, etc. Additionally, patients may also be tortured by intractable hiccup. What causes this symptom for CKD patients?

Chronic kidney disease is characterized by the progressive loss of renal function over a period of months or years. According to glomerular filtration rate (GFR), kidney disease is divided into five stages and each stage has different symptoms. In general, in the early stages of kidney disease, patients do not experience symptoms. However, when illness condition continue to develop, obvious symptoms will occur, like Stage 3 or Stage 4 kidney disease. In the stages, patients will shows symptoms such as hiccup, edema, fatigue, anemia, urine changes and even serious symptoms. Well then, why does hiccup occur in the stage of kidney disease?

For patients with stage 3 or stage 4 kidney disease, their kidney function has been damaged moderately or severely. It means a large amount of toxins and wastes have piled up in the body. When diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease, the injured kidneys lose the ability of keeping balance of electrolytes in your body and also lead to a build up urea (a metabolin of protein) in your body, which causes hiccup. Besides, after you experience kidney disease, your doctor may prescribe some medications like steroids for you in order to control related symptoms. For a long-term intake of medicines will cause side effects including intractable hiccup.

Well then, how to deal with hiccup for CKD patients?

    1. Adjust protein intake and have a low quantities but high-quality protein diet.

    2. Adjust the dosage of medicines according to your changes of illness condition.

    3. Try to balance the electrolyte levels.

    4. Repair kidney damage from the root causes.

In order to achieve the goals, I’d like to recommend you a systemic and natural therapy called Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, which has the functions of dilating blood vessels, anti-inflammation, anti-coagulation, and degrading extracelluar matrix. Through these functions, kidney damage can be repaired. If you are interested in the treatment, please talk with our online doctors or mails us to
